Violet Modulation
Approximately 78 × 60 inches

Violet Modulation is a large-scale abstract composition that channels the rhythmic spontaneity of jazz fusion through layered gesture, color, and movement. Inspired by the energy of the Kandinsky exhibition at the Guggenheim, the painting explores the relationship between sound and color as a form of visual music, where sweeping arcs of turquoise, violet, magenta, and golden tones pulse across the surface like improvisational notes. The scattered marks and overlapping forms create a sense of syncopation and flow, balancing chaos with harmony, much like an evolving musical score. Within the apparent abstraction, there is an underlying orchestration — a modulation of color and motion that invites the viewer to feel rather than decode, experiencing the work as a vibrant, immersive resonance of rhythm, intuition, and emotional frequency.
